GZDBK 2022 Gold Award for Innovation: continuous dosing PIO-PINCH

On September 14, the Chamber of Commerce of Dolenjska and Bela Krajina awarded prizes for innovations for the year 2022 in Otočec. This year's tender call for the best innovations received 26 innovation proposals prepared by innovators from 13 companies, 2 faculties and a public institute.

The received proposals were evaluated by commission with 6 members for evaluating innovations, which operates within the innovation section of the Chamber of Commerce of Dolenjska and Bela Krajina. In the evaluation, the commission took into account the inventiveness, economic effects and forecasts, as well as the sustainability and environmental aspect of each innovation.

The company Iskra PIO d. o. o. received a gold award for the innovation of the tablet packaging line with the PIO-PINCH continuous dosing system, which is completely new on the market. It is primarily used in the field of tablet dosing, but it can also be very easily applied for dosing other fragile materials that are prone to damage. It is a breakthrough solution based on teachable software code, which, compared to conventional solutions, enables continuous change of the flow of dosing material and thus significantly faster dosing and achieving greater accuracy of the target weight. The solution also features easy and efficient cleaning, which is a very important factor in the pharmaceutical and food industries system.
