General SmartCon GMP Clean Rooms are an innovative system of mobile clean rooms, composed of individual containers. Each container represents an independent module with its own airlock, workspace, automation, ventilation, power distribution and functionality. The containers can be customized according to the specific requirements of the project and allow the assembly of the entire clean rooms system. Each individual container fully meets the GMP requirements to ensure proper and adequate working environment. Additional equipment, such as transfer chambers, workbenches, trash bins etc., can be adjusted according to the client’s needs.

Working principle

The air distribution system in the SmartCon GMP system ensures the appropriate number of air exchanges, which enable achieving the required cleanliness classification of the rooms. The air distribution is carried out on each individual container and provides approximately 20% of fresh air, which is captured from the surroundings.

To prevent the transfer of impurities from a less clean room to a more clean room, it is essential to establish pressure differences between rooms with different cleanliness grades. Volume regulators are installed in the supply ducts, which allow precise regulation of the air flow in each room. This ensures adequate amounts of air in each room according to the cleanliness requirements.

The air distribution system in the SmartCon GMP system is designed to enable efficient control and regulation of the air flow in the clean rooms, which is crucial for maintaining the appropriate level of cleanliness and preventing the transfer of contaminants between rooms with different levels of cleanliness.

Control

The main control interface (HMI) of the SmartCon GMP system is implemented using a personal computer and Siemens SCADA application interface. This system provides comprehensive control, diagnostics, parameterization, alarming, user management, event tracking (audit trail) and archiving. The core of the system is based on Siemens PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), which enables controlled and safe operation of the system by providing input-output functionality. The automation architecture is modular, which means that each container has its own automatic station. The first container in the system includes the main PLC, while all the remaining containers have distributed I/O modules. This modular design allows flexibility and easy expansion of the system according to the specific project requirements.
