The direction of air movement is an important factor in every controlled environment. With the help of a visual smoke test we can prove that the ventilation and filtration systems are capable of protecting the critical area from contamination with particles from the environment and to determine whether the direction of movement of the vertical (unidirectional / laminar) air is homogeneous under the entire filter / distribution surface.

It is the simplest and most effective method of detecting unwanted dead zones, air pockets, and displaying air paths from inlet to outlet of the room or device. It is also used to visualize the direction of movement of the air between different pressure zones in clean areas using turbulent flow. The visual smoke test is performed in accordance with the recommendations of ISO 14644-3.

For the performance we use a special flowmarker or a smoke tube. Upon agreement with the customer we attach photos to the report or prepare a video clip.
