The purpose of the test is to check the tightness of isolator housings. The test is carried out on systems where there is no direct contact with the product of work (raw material, products).

In order to ensure the best safety conditions, the test is carried out at different production stages (factory tightness test,after installation and final tightness test). When performing a test, the device must contain all components such as gloves, possible CLS covers and other components. In the final test all connections (eg. drainage, inlets, outlets, etc.) must be installed and connected. In addition, it is recommended that all cables and other extras that can affect the outcome of the test are also installed and connected. The test is carried out in accordance with the recommendations of ISO 10648-2 and ISO 14644-7.

These standards provide three different test methods: oxygen method, pressure change method and constant pressure method.

In most cases, we use the pressure change method for the tightness test. In this method we monitor the change of the pressure inside the device and its environment with respect of time. The devices can operate with underpressure (toxic substances) and overpressure ( aseptic processes) according to the environment, so the test is performed in accordance with their performances.

Measurements are performed by using professional digital pressure difference measuring devices of renowned manufacturers: Testo and TSI. All equipment is calibrated annually in an accredited laboratory.
