General

The AH (Air Handling) module is a universally designed device for keeping appropriate pressure conditions and air exchanges in a protective environment. It is distinguished by simple and flexible regulation of supply and exhaust air quantities. Thus the device is able to connect to a wide range of protective environments of various shapes, dimensions and applications. The small size of the device and at the same time good technical characteristics are its important competitive advantage in terms of easy connection to an existing or new protective environment in a flexible or fixed design. The AH module is suitable for creating negative or positive pressure conditions within the working environment compared to the surroundings.

Advantages

  • Easy and flexible regulation of overpressure or under pressure and air flow
  • Possibility of an easy connection with other protective environments
  • Easy and fast installation
  • Upgrading new or existing equipment
  • Easy to use
  • Robust design and easy to clean
  • Quiet operation
  • Pre-filtration of air
  • Wide scope of use
  • High external pressure
  • Small dimensions and good technical characteristics

Operating principle

The AH module operates on the principle of continuous independent control of the inlet and outlet fan. The inlet fan provides the right amount of air to supply to the protective environment. The outlet fan provides the desired pressure conditions within the protective environment depending on the pressure in the environment. Infinitely variable control of both allows a wide range of settings according to the required air exchanges and the corresponding pressure conditions. The built-in digital meter shows the actual value of the pressure in the protective environment, and at the same time measures and displays the amount of air circulating in the system. Adequate air balance in the work area is ensured by the connection of the module with the surrounding air, which soaks excess air from the environment or returns it to it. The integrity of the recirculated and exhausted air depends on an appropriate HEPA filtration integrated in the protective environment. The combination of filtration and air circulation defines the appropriate class of purity within the working space, defined by the ISO 14644-4: 2001 standard.

Use

Before using the AH module appropriate connections of the module to the protective environment must be done. Connections can be done by using flexible or fixed connections with easily removable joints (TC). As a protective environment usually a working space is used, which is also in a fixed (metal sealed space - fixed isolator, cabin, pass-box cabin) or flexible design (tight space limited by transparent PU foil - flexible isolator). The size and shape of the workspace are not conditioned by the operation of the AH module. The regulation of the inlet and outlet fan in the work area enables the establishment of vacuum conditions (in the case of protection of the operator and the environment) or overpressure conditions (in the case of product protection). The device allows monitoring the value of the pressure in the working space and the amount of recirculated air. Even at maximum loads, the device is characterized by quiet operation, which is very important for quality work in demanding conditions.
