OEL TEST – Operators exposure at work

The main purpose of the OEL test is to demonstrate that installed equipment (protective chambers, isolators, weighing, …) reduce the presence of potentially dangerous particles in the air during the working process with the substances in form of powder, which are carried out primarily in the pharmaceutical industry.

Operating with heavy pharmaceutical raw materials is defined as the potential risk to the operators. This exposure is termed as OEL (Occupational Exposure in working with hazardous substances), which prescribes the maximum permissible exposure in a given period and is expressed in g / m3.

The test is performed in accordance with the recommendations, the guidelines from association ISPE.
